Annette RobinsonWe are excited to announce that Annette Robinson, Founder & President of Get the Cap, a Queens-based school search and educational coaching company, will join us as a regular blog contributor in the area of Queens schools.

Annette has over 10 years of experience in assisting families with their search for information and school choice for grade levels K-12. In addition, she also works with high school juniors and seniors assisting them with their college and financial aid search. Annette has specialized with working with Queens families from Bayside, Cambria Heights, Hollis, Laurelton, Jamaica, Richmond Hill, Rosedale, Queens Village, Springfield Gardens, St. Albans, and beyond.

Get the Cap evolved from Annette’s experience in aiding students and their families in search of public, private, religious and charter schools to find the right fit for the individual student. Annette espouses a ‘preventative’ approach and understands the need to guide students in the right direction from an early grade. In particular, she believes in the need to reach high school students in their freshmen and sophomore years to ensure that they are performing at their highest level to ensure their entrance into the college or university of their choice.

In addition to her work through Get the Cap, Annette disseminates information and knowledge about various aspects of the New York City private and public school system to local community centers in Queens.
