Ace Integration Head Start is located in Brooklyn and dedicated to providing the best Head Start experience for young children in the borough.
Ace Integration serves the Bushwick neighborhood with a bilingual early childhood education experience using the Reggio Emilia model. Children of all abilities are welcome and the preschool also has a social services program that caters to special needs.
Children receiving special services are first given an evaluation. Special services include speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, and behavior management.
Ace Integration Head Start also offers a Universal Pre-K.
Among the family services offered at Ace Integration are workshops, partnerships, goal setting, and parents are encouraged to get involved in their child’s education through volunteering, serving as substitutes, and joining DAPC. DAPC is a decision-making group that serves to direct the Head Start program and consists of parents and members of the community. They work with the director of the school to establish school policies and procedures for the Head Start program.
Ace Integration Head Start has been in steady operation since 1996. The school has provided services to more than 150 students each year since 2006. ACE stands for Acceptance of self and others, Creativity, and Ecology.
