Hamilton-Madison House Child Care Centers is a program designed for children ages 2 months through 6 years old and offers a variety of programs across multiple campuses around New York City. Almost all are located in Manhattan, with one in Queens. The main campus is located at 50 Madison Street.
Among the programs offered by Hamilton-Madison House are Family Day Care, Head Start, and Working Wonders.
Family Day Care provides day care services for children 2 months to 6 years. The programs are administered through people’s homes so Hamilton-Madison has procured an army of licensed day care providers to assist in delivering the programs daily.
Head Start caters to children ages 3 to 5. The objective is to prepare your children for kindergarten. Teachers create a learning environment that is centered on enhancing emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth.
Working Wonders is a preschool program. Children between the ages of 2 and 4 years old learn to interact with others socially as they grow emotionally, cognitively and physically in a positive, caring environment.
All Hamilton-Madison programs are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Day care services could be available at other times depending on the schedule of individual service providers.
Hamilton-Madison House is a nonprofit agency primarily focused on those in the Two Bridges/Chinatown area of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The agency supports programs in childcare, youth development, senior services, behavioral health, and immigrant/community services.
