Focus On Holy Cross School – Bronx

Holy Cross School is a Catholic parish elementary school located in the southeast Bronx. The school caters to a multicultural community and serves pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Holy Cross has been in operation since 1923. Not only do faculty strive to educate and develop the child’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical selves, but they strive to include the latest technological developments in the classroom. These include SMART Boards, wireless internet, and a state-of-the-art computer lab.

Catholic values are integrated throughout the curriculum. Pre-kindergarten consists of a full day of instruction for three and four year olds.

Students prepare and participate in the sacraments and there are a variety of extracurricular activities available as well. Special programs include music, choir ensembles, Title I remediation and counseling, early morning program, and after school program. There is also a sports development program and transportation by bus is provided as well.
