Our Saviour Lutheran School, located in Queens, NYC, is affiliated with Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Rego Park. While the school is located in Queens, students come from as far away as Brooklyn, Long Island, Far Rockaway, and New Jersey.
Our Saviour Lutheran includes curricula for three years olds in nursery school, Universal Pre-K for four year olds, and elementary school through eighth grade.
The foundation of all curricula at Our Saviour Lutheran School is the Christian faith. Students learn about Jesus, who he is, what his ministry on earth meant, and how he is still relevant to the modern world. They also get a good grounding in academics and get prepared for high school.
Students are required to wear a uniform and students/parents can find out what the dress code is on the school’s website.
Students are also exposed to a broad menu of extracurricular activities that include:
- Annual Christmas programs
- Science expo
- Talent shows
- Basketball team
- Field Day competition
- School dances
- Movie night
- Academic competitions, including Bible World Series
- An annual Jog-a-Thon
- And more
Four year olds have access to free half-day universal pre-kindergarten. There are also after school programs to augment the education early childhood students receive.
Faculty at Our Saviour Lutheran School seek to prepare students for life and for entrance into high school.
