Patricia Carbine Children’s Center is a Manhattan based back-up child care provider accepting children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. They are open 8am to 6pm for regular daycare hours. The Center is a member of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, which operates child care centers in the U.S, Canada, and Europe.
This daycare was designed to provide emergency back up to a regular care provider. For parents needing care due to an ill child, an absent primary care provider or any of a host of other emergency situations, Patricia Carbine Children’s Center takes over to provide care in a safe and nurturing environment. Children are provided with enrichment activities and age appropriate games. Snacks are provided and parents have the option of ordering from a children’s menu (for a small fee), bring the child a lunch or sending one with them when they are dropped off at the center.
Patricia Carbine Children’s Center is NOT a full-time daycare. It is intended to supplement in the case of emergency. For working parents, school holidays, snow days or a sick child, daycare can be a disaster. Patricia Carbine Children’s Center takes children during these periods and allows the parents to continue with their workday as planned. Arrangements can also be made for summer childcare and even childcare when the parent is on a business trip.
The Patricia Carbine Children’s Center uses The World at Their Fingertips, an age appropriate series that teaches the child about the world around them as an enrichment program for children while they are at the center. Other games and activities are also available depending on season, availability and the age of the child.
