by NYC Private Schools on November 5, 2009

The Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School is a NYC Private School highly celebrated for its dedication to its diverse student body and the principals upon which it was founded. It is a Catholic, diocesan, college preparatory school with strong Roman Catholic faith.

The goals of the Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School are to:

create a safe learning environment that:
• fosters academic success
• builds character
• develops future leaders
• nurtures a vibrant personal relationship with God

The Bishop Loughlin School provides a small boarding program in addition to its regular day program. Although the school is co-educational, the boarding program is open to young men only.

The boarding program accommodates a maximum of twenty-five (25) young men from grades 9 through 12 in the former De La Salle Christian Brothers residence, which is located next to Bishop Loughlin. Participants in the program will reside in the dorm Sunday evening through Friday afternoon and will attend school with the day students. Given the limited availability of openings in the program, there is a competitive process by which students are selected to join the program

The school has a strong commitment to community service through Campus Ministry and Lasallian Youth projects and by supporting St. Mary’s, their sister school located in Kenya.
