One of the biggest complaints from parents is that there is no simple ranking for New York Private Schools. There is a rather lengthy list of reasons for the lack of solid private school rankings. Among the reasons are:
- Private Schools are not required to have reviews because they receive no public funding. As such, you will not see a Government grade assigned to a private school.
- Participation in most surveys done by standard media and boards doing the ranking is purely voluntary. As a group, most private schools do not participate.
- Ranking of schools is dependent upon too many factors for it to be appropriate for a single grade.
That being said, you have decide on what you want for your child from a Private School and then find the information to support what school is best in that area. The information that you want and the statistics that support it are available, you just have to know what to ask. Not a secret question or password, but simply what you are looking for.
- Which school has the highest percentage going on to Ivy League universities?
- Which school has the best Advanced Sciences program?
- Which school has the best Arts program?
- Which school has the best program for underperforming students?
- Which school has the best Roman Catholic program?
- Which school has the best International Education program?
Once you narrow down what it is that you are looking for, the answers to your questions can be found. A simple answer cannot be had when the question isn‘t stated. There is the best NYC Private School available for each and every student, from every background, at every academic level and for each specialty.
