Focus On Room To Grow Learning Center

by NYC Private Schools on August 17, 2012

Room To Grow Learning Center is a play-based Brooklyn nursery school that accepts children from the ages of 6 weeks until they enter Kindergarten. There is also an after school program for children ages 5 through 12. Children are divided into three programs based on their ages. Both early morning drop off and late pick up is available. There is an open door policy for parents and they are encouraged to visit at any time.

There are three programs plus an additional after school program at Room To Grow Learning Center. The infant group has children from the age of 6 weeks until they are 18 months old. Children are engaged, held, read to and play with safe, age appropriate toys and materials. As the children grow they are in an environment with stimulation, a safe place to learn to crawl, stand and walk. There is plenty of tummy time daily as well as staff interaction to help the children grow and thrive.

The next group at Room To Grow Learning Center is the toddler group. This group is comprised of children 18 to 24 months. Because children at this stage are both more mobile and curious, they are encouraged to run, jump and explore the world around them. There are early math, reading and science activities along with both teacher led and child led activities. Both indoor and outdoor play areas are available.

The preschool group is made up of the 3 and 4 year old children at Room To Grow Learning Center. The staff build on what the children have already learned in the toddler group with emphasis of preparing them for school. Children are further exposed to art, math, reading, writing and music.
