St. Fidelis Elementary School is a Catholic school located in College Point, Queens, NYC serving nursery school (age 3) through eighth grade. The school’s focus is on teaching Christ-like values as presented in the Gospels.

Since its beginning in the mid-1800s, St. Fidelis has had a strong academic program based on spiritual discipline.

Student life at St. Fidelis Elementary School is enriched by an introduction to the following core curricula:

  • Technology – Grades K-8 receive computer training twice a week.
  • Art – Grades 1-8 receive a weekly art class.
  • Physical education – Grades K-8 receive a weekly P.E. class.
  • Science lab – This state-of-the-art facility is used by all students starting in kindergarten.

In addition to these core courses, students have the opportunity to excel through the Aquinas Club and the Honors Program. There is also an after school program and a school band. Ready Set Go is a new program at St. Fidelis that accepts two year olds.

Extracurricular activities give students new opportunities for learning as well. These include a Fall Carnival, All Saints Day, International Fair, Crazy Hat Day, Pi Day, Stations of the Cross, Walk-a-Thon, and a spring show.

Starting in kindergarten, students must wear a uniform at all times when on campus. More information about the uniforms can be acquired on the St. Fidelis website.
