Trey Whitfield School has a very succinct mission statement, which can be found on the home page of the school’s website:
The mission of Trey Whitfield School is to equip our students for life by providing an affordable, high quality education in a safe, loving and respectful environment that also nurtures the development of faith and character.
Located in Brooklyn, NYC, Trey Whitfield School is an independent private school divided into an Early Childhood Program, a Lower School, and an Upper School.
The Early Childhood Development Program begins with nursery school and extends through kindergarten. Children are engaged with fun learning activities that develop their age appropriate motor, social, and intellectual skills.
In the Lower School, students encounter activities that develop their reading, writing, and comprehension skills as well as math and science.
The Upper School separates students into home rooms and separate teachers for each subject. In the seventh grade, students study algebra. The Upper School ends after eighth grade.
Trey Whitfield School incorporates technology into the learning process at each level. Students participate in many school activities and graduating students have gone on to some of New York’s best high schools, then on to the best colleges and universities in the U.S.
