Focus On Trinity Lutheran School

by NYC Private Schools on February 20, 2011

Trinity Lutheran School, located at 309 St. Pauls Avenue in Staten Island, is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America parish by the same name at the same address. The school opened its doors in 1960.

Trinity Lutheran is committed to providing a “holistic” education focused on academic excellence, spiritual development, and cultural enrichment. One of the big benefits it offers is small classes to allow more individual attention for each student.

The school serves pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Graduates have gone on to attend some of New York City’s finest high schools, including Brooklyn Technical High School, Brooklyn Poly Prep, Curtis High School, Monsignor Farrell High School, Moore Catholic High School, Notre Dame Academy, Petrides, St. John Villa, St. Joseph Hill Academy, Staten Island Academy, Staten Island Technical High School, and Stuyvesant High School.

Besides a great academic experience, students are also exposed to athletics through several extracurricular sports activities.

Universal Pre-K is available for four year olds on a full-day schedule. Half-day pre-kindergarten is also available at no charge.

Trinity Lutheran School also provided the backing for pre-kindergarten for three year olds in September 2010. The program is called Little Lights.

The elementary program is designed to prepare students for high school and beyond.

Trinity Lutheran School in Staten Island is proud of its heritage and proud of its commitment to academic excellence.
