There are art projects to help with the development of fine motor skills, cooking classes and story time that includes puppets. There are also classes in music, creative movement and Yoga is included to help build good coordination.

Children are allowed ample time for both indoor and outdoor play as well as structured group play and unstructured free play. Outdoor play includes both the backyard at West Side Family Preschool and trips to local parks and playgrounds. This unstructured and vigorous activity helps to facilitate gross motor skill development and foster a lifelong love of exercise.

West Side Family Preschool also takes the children out for daily walks and nature studies at local parks, and to explore local playgrounds. There are also field trips to such places as museums, fire stations and pet stores.
