Claire Danes was raised in New York City and actually attended several schools in the Big Apple before moving out west to Los Angeles. She then went to Yale University but dropped out of Yale to focus on her acting career. But her start, her beginnings? New York City. Manhattan, to be more exact.
Her first NYC alma mater is the Dalton School, one of the most well known private schools in New York City. The actress also attended the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies, a public school, and after that she attended another public school in the city – Professional Performing Arts School.
Claire Danes has had a successful career as an actress starring in Hollywood movies, the theatre, and television shows. She has been acting professionally since making a guest appearance on Law & Order in 1992. The episode was titled “Skin Deep.”
